Our Story & Engineering DNA
Cadgate was founded by a mechanical engineer with over a decade of hands-on experience in project-based machinery manufacturing, R&D, and industrial systems (such as industrial process equipment primarily for the mining-mineral, energy, recycling, biomass, and chemical sectors).
After spending thousands of hours on repetitive CAD tasks, manual PDF/DXF exports, and navigating complex ERP/PDM transitions, the realization was clear: Engineers should spend their time innovating and designing, not clicking repetitive buttons. That is how our first automation tools were born.
The Vision: Beyond a Single Macro
We started our journey with the Smart Exporter for Autodesk Inventor, but our roadmap is much bigger. We are rapidly evolving Cadgate into a comprehensive, multi-platform engineering hub that includes:

Developing advanced macros for batch-processing entire assemblies (e.g., auto-extracting all sheet metal flat patterns) across major CAD platforms like Inventor and SolidWorks.
